Email template settings determine how a template behaves and where it can be used in SmartSimple.
Email Template Settings
The table below lists each available setting and what it controls.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The template name as it appears in the template list. |
| Type | Email Template or Email Signature. A user's Email Signature appends automatically to the end of each message they create. |
| Category | Determines where the template is available: General - All contexts. UTA Level 1 - Sending from a UTA/module. UTA Level 2 & 3 - Sending from a UTA/module Level 2 or 3. Contact - Sending from a contact record. Report - Sending emails when scheduled reports export. |
| UTA | Specify the UTA/module when Category is set to UTA Level 1 or UTA Level 2 & 3. |
| Private/Public | This option is hidden from users without manager permission to create templates. Private - Limits the template to your own use. Public - Makes the template available to other users. |
| Role Allowed | The system roles that can view and use the template. |
| Default Attachments (Folder) | Select the Folder that contains the attachments that should always be attached to the email. |
| Default Attachments (System Folder) | Select the System Folder that contains the attachments that should always be attached to the email. |
| Subject | The default subject line for the email. |
| Message Format | The options are Plain Text or HTML. Selecting HTML makes the Enable Rich Text Editor toggle available. |
| Body | The default body text for the email. |
