Dashboard card settings define the title, icon, data source, and chart options for each card on a personal dashboard in SmartSimple.
Card Configuration Fields
The following fields appear when a card is added to a dashboard.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The display name shown at the top of the card on the dashboard. |
| Icon Style | Controls the visual style of the icon on the card. Defaults to Regular. |
| Icon | An optional icon to associate with the card, selected from the icon library. |
| Type | Determines the kind of data visualization the card uses. |
| Entity | The SmartSimple object type the card pulls data from. Options include Users, Companies, and UTA. |
| Record Set | The specific list view or report within the selected entity that the card displays. Only record sets that the user has permission to access appear in this field. |
Card Types
The following card types are available in the Type field.

|---|---|
| List View | Displays records in a searchable, paginated table. |
| Chart - Bar | Displays data as a vertical bar chart. |
| Chart - Horizontal Bar | Displays data as a horizontal bar chart. |
| Chart - Pie | Displays data as a pie chart. |
| Aggregate | Displays a summarized aggregate value for the selected record set. |
Chart-Specific Fields
When the card Type is set to a chart type such as Bar, Horizontal Bar, or Pie, the following additional fields appear.

| X-Axis | The field from the record set used to define the horizontal axis of the chart. |
| Y-Axis | The field from the record set used to define the vertical axis of the chart. |
| Aggregation | The aggregation method applied to the Y-Axis data. Examples include Sum, Count, and Average. |
| Customize Chart Colors | Assigns specific colors to individual chart values for visual clarity. The + button adds a value-color mapping. |
