When to Use System Accessibility Settings
Apply these settings when:
- Preparing to configure a SmartSimple system and need to understand what accessibility requirements apply.
- Reviewing existing system configuration or content to identify potential accessibility gaps.
- Responding to user or auditor inquiries about accessibility compliance.
- Your organization must comply with specific accessibility legislation (such as WCAG, ADA, AODA, or EAA).
Configure Branding and Navigation
Branding and navigation elements, such as the system logo, links, and title bars, must be configured following accessibility guidelines so all users can navigate the system successfully.
Define Alternate Text for the Logo
The system logo appears in the upper left corner of the header of your system. Provide equivalent alternative text, typically your organization's name or system name, in the Logo Text field.
To update the alternate text for your logo:
- Click the System Administration gear in the upper navigation bar, and then select Global Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Branding tab.
- Locate the Branding section, click the Logo Text field, and enter the desired alternative text.
- Click Save.
Configure Buttons
To configure buttons:
- Click the Menu icon in the upper navigation bar, and then select the relevant UTA/module from the Applications drop-down menu.
- Click the Configuration Settings gear.
- Click the applicable Level 1, 2, or 3 tab.
- Locate the General Settings section and click Submit and Save Buttons.
- Click the New Submit and Save Button [+] button to create a new button.

- Click the Branding tab.
- Locate the Branding section and click Login Pages.

- Click the Menu icon in the upper navigation bar, and then select the relevant UTA/module from the Applications drop-down menu.
- Click the Configuration Settings gear.
- Click the applicable Level 1, 2, or 3 tab.

To configure the title bar navigation pane:
- Click the System Administration gear in the upper navigation bar, and then select Global Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Branding tab.
- Locate the Interface Options section and toggle Enable Title Bar Navigation Pane on.
- Click Save.
