Bulk File Upload
The Autoloader supports bulk uploading of specific files to designated records. Use this feature when multiple files associated with different records need to be uploaded or replaced across a UTA/module, user records, or company records.
To configure bulk file upload:
- Create a CSV file that includes the required columns: File Name, Custom Field ID, and the relevant identifier columns for the record type.
- Create a ZIP file containing the files to upload or replace. The ZIP file and CSV file must share the same name.
- Click the System Administration gear in the upper navigation bar, and then select Autoloaders from the drop-down menu.
- Click New Autoloader [+] or the edit [pencil] icon.
- Click the Lookup [binoculars] icon and select the folder designated for this Autoloader.
- Select CSV, Text from the File Type drop-down menu.
- Select a UTA/module, People, or Company from the Record Type drop-down menu.
- Select File Upload from the Item drop-down menu.
- If a UTA/module is selected, select the desired Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3.
- Configure column mappings.
- Upload the CSV and ZIP file to the processing folder identified in Step 5.
Configure PGP Decryption
PGP decryption is available during Autoloader file processing. Add PGP encryption and decryption keys in the Integration Key Management section before configuring this setting.
To configure PGP decryption:
- Click the System Administration gear in the upper navigation bar, and then select Autoloaders from the drop-down menu.
- Click the edit [pencil] icon next to the autoloader you are working with.
- Click the General tab.
- Locate the Decryption section and select the PGP Decryption Key to use before the Autoloader processes the file.
Upload a File Using the Ad Hoc Upload URL
The Ad Hoc Upload URL provides a user-friendly interface for importing data, allowing users to review the file before uploading it to the SmartFolder for processing. Use this feature when an External Data Source is not configured.
To upload a file using the Ad Hoc Upload URL:
