The System Security Summary identifies security vulnerabilities in your SmartSimple site and provides tools to resolve them directly from Global Settings. For field definitions, see System Security Summary Field Definitions.

When to Use This Procedure
Use this procedure when:
- The System Security Summary displays a FAIL result under the Result indicator.
- One or more security items display a red caution icon under the Attention Required column.
- You are remediating High or Medium severity items to achieve a PASS status.
Address a Security Vulnerability
To identify and resolve a security vulnerability in the System Security Summary:
NOTE Address only items that display an Attention Required icon under the Attention Required column.
- Click the System Administration gear in the upper navigation bar, and then select Global Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the System tab, locate the System Information section, and then click System Security Summary.
- Items requiring attention display a red caution icon under the Status column. Review the Severity column to assess the criticality of the issue.
- Review the text in the Details column to identify the specific security issue.
- Click the URL icon to be directed to the configuration page for that security feature. Click the pencil icon to add notes.
- Locate the setting described in the Details column and modify it to address the security issue.
- Click Save.
- Return to the System Security Summary. The security feature now shows a green check mark icon under the Status column.
