System Feature Permissions let global administrators control which platform features, UI actions, tabs, and menu items are available to specific roles without changing underlying configuration. These permissions apply across five categories in SmartSimple: Organization, People, Menu, Features, and Legacy, and complement record-level security and role-based access.

What You Can Control
Each of the five tabs contains permission settings that control one or more of the following:
- UI actions and buttons. For example, Enable Batch Update, Enable Save Draft, and Enable Copy.
- Tabs and sections. For example, Disable Email Tab and Disable Main Invoice Tab.
- Features in the main menu. For example, Reports, Workflows, and Calendars.
- Cross-cutting features. For example, Emulation Mode, Personal Dashboards, and Reader Log History.
Organization Permission Settings
The following permission settings control actions and access available on Organization records and list views.

| Enable Batch Update | Reveals the Batch Update button when a record is selected from the Organization list view. |
| Enable Quick Assign Owner on Organization List View | Allows quick assignment of ownership directly from the Organization list view. |
| Enable Reader Log History | Enables access to the reader log history for auditing purposes. |
| Enable Save Draft | Reveals the Save Draft button within an Organization profile. |
People Permission Settings
The following permission settings control actions and access available on People records.

| Disable Delete | Conceals the Delete button within a Contact profile for specified roles. |
| Enable Batch Update | Reveals the Batch Update button when a record is selected from the User list view. |
| Enable Edit User System Settings | Allows people to edit the user system settings. |
| Enable Reader Log History | Allows people to view the Reader Log History. |
| Enable Outlook Synchronization | Grants the ability to synchronize the SmartSimple calendar and contacts with Outlook. |
| Enable Save Draft | Reveals the Save Draft button within a Contact profile. |
| Enable Set As Homepage | Allows people to set the homepage. |
Menu Permission Settings
The following permission settings control which features appear in the Menu for specific roles.

Features Permission Settings
The following permission settings control access to platform-wide features and UI options that are not tied to a specific menu item.

| Disable Breadcrumb | Removes breadcrumb navigation for designated roles. |
| Discussion Board - Access | Grants access to the Discussion Board feature. |

| Enable Attribute Transaction to UTA Level 1 | Grants access to transaction attribution at UTA/module Level 1. |

| Workflows - Attach Workflow to Company | Allows configuration of workflows triggered by company record creation or modification. |

Legacy Permission Settings
The following permission settings apply to legacy features that are no longer active menu items but may still apply to some sites.
