Who: Emulation Mode is for any role given access.
When to Use Emulation Mode

- Gain limited access to another user's portal without requiring the login credentials for that user.
- View another user's portal and modify information on their behalf.
NOTE If a user needs to access another user's portal for an extended period of time, they should use the Delegation functionality.

Use Emulation Mode
Emulation Mode is only available when the user being emulated is a basic user. It is not available for global administrators.
To use Emulation Mode:
- Navigate to the profile of the user you want to emulate.
- Click Actions and select Emulate User from the drop-down menu.
- The user's portal opens. A banner at the top of the portal indicates that you are viewing the system as that user.
- To exit Emulation Mode, click the User Menu at the top of the portal, and then select End User Emulation.
- You are returned to your personal view of the system.
NOTE To test multiple roles at the same time, use different browsers. For example, log in as a System Administrator in Chrome and as an Applicant in Firefox.
NOTE User browser information is viewable in the user's profile under Options, then Login Details. This shows the browser used at last login for troubleshooting purposes and does not display the user's password.
