This feature presents a collection of values within an Ajax lookup box.

Field Options

The options detailed below are specific to this particular field type.

Predefined Options The values intended for inclusion in your dropdown list, separated by semicolons without spaces.
 
  • The first value specified will serve as the default value upon the creation of a new record.
  • If you wish for the value stored in the field to differ from the value displayed in the combo box, you may utilize the following syntax in the Values section: StoreValue1=DisplayValue1;StoreValue2=DisplayValue2;StoreValue3=DisplayValue3;
  • The value preceding the equal sign will be stored. The value following the equal sign is what will be displayed in the combo box, but it will not be saved. (This method is crucial for translations into other languages. The StoreValue must remain consistent across all languages.

External Source Options

  • Enable Lookup From External Source - upon selecting a source (currently, the only available option is Google Civic Information), you will have the ability to map external source values to custom Single or Multiple Line text box fields. Please note that if multiple values are present in the search results, but you have mapped them to a single-line text box custom field, only the first record will be returned.
