Overview
The Split Screen feature is accessible for specific list views within the System, including those that display Custom Fields.
Additionally, the Split Screen feature is available within individual level 1, 2, and 3 UTA records, provided the user possesses the requisite role-based permissions.
List Views
The Split Screen feature for list views within the System is enabled by default.
A small icon will be present at the top of the page, above the list view.
Upon clicking this icon, the screen will divide into two sections, with the list view remaining visible on the left side of the screen.
The icon at the top of the screen will also change to indicate that it can now hide the Split Screen mode.
By selecting any of the records listed on the left, that particular record will be displayed on the right side of the screen.
Level 1 UTA Records
The Split Screen feature for individual level 1 UTA records permits users to view either the Customer record or the Owner record associated with the level 1 record. Provided the user can access the owner and/or customer fields on the page, based on the permissions of those standard fields, the user will have the option to access the show/hide menu item. Furthermore, the user must possess the appropriate permissions for their role in the Contact/Company Security Matrix to view the corresponding organization or user profile.
If your role has the necessary permissions for the UTA, the Spit-Screen feature may be access from within Level 1 UTA record from:
[Actions] (from the Action Bar) >> View Organization/Owner in Spit Screen
Level 2 and 3 UTA Records
The Split Screen feature available within individual level 2 and 3 UTA records is governed by the Enable View Parent permission found within the UTA Feature and Function Permissions. If you wish to utilize this feature without providing access to the full level 1 parent record, you may combine this permission with a System Feature Permission within Global Settings. Within System Features and Permissions, the Feature Permission tab includes an option to Disable Hierarchical Navigation. This will prevent the hierarchical breadcrumb navigation from displaying for the selected roles. A typical scenario for disabling this navigation would be a Reviewer viewing a Review form, enabling them to display the parent Application in split screen while preventing navigation to the complete Application record.
